MLK Day 2017

20th MLK Day 2017 Prayer Breakfast @ Respect Diversity Foundation Table

The audience woke up to the big band sounds of the MWC HS Bombers Band!  Breakfast was followed by an inspirational program of speakers and performers.
"Twenty years ago a young police officer felt the need to do something to better race relations in the City of Midwest City. Mr. Thomas Jahn, began the first breakfast. The Dr. Martin Luther King J. Prayer Breakfast Committee strives to always rise to the occasion when representing every individual on this special day to search our souls, look and determine what each of us can do to make this world a better place for everyone. When you look at another person, view him as your on flesh and blood because really they are. That is the greatest way to begin weaving the "TAPESTRY OF UNITY." Vivian Henderson Woodward, Chair

Making an afternoon ON SERVICE of a day off from school

Casady YAC hosted an afternoon at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma
It was really amazing to help out the community and it was nice to do it with others.

3 Things to Remember

1. The new mural message.  It was a beautiful acknowledgment to MLK. It spoke to me.
2. The other school, Mercy. I made a lot of new friends
2. Efficiency as a school.  It was my first official volunteering and it was very amazing  I actually had a lot of fun tapping apple sauce together.  Mercy School and I would definitely come back again.
