Friday, April 21 at the Casady Wing:  Therapeutic Tai Chi classes.  Walk-ins welcomed, but sign-up with Mrs. Clay recommended. 40 participants per session. See schedule and details at bulletin boards.  Sign-up at clayc@casady.org.  Wear loose clothing.  We received an out of uniform to make sure people are wearing comfortable clothing for the Thai Chi sessions.

Casady School Environmental Club Adopt a Street clean-up:  Participants meet at 8:30 for breakfast, welcome, safety guidelines and distribution of supplies.

Other service opportunities in the Greater Oklahoma City Community

20 paid VISTA summer positions at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma! These AmeriCorps Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA) positions will support various anti-poverty measures, with most VISTA members providing support to the Summer Feeding Program. VISTA Associates are paid a living allowance of approximately $900 per 14-day pay period, plus their choice of Education Award ($1,230) OR End of Service Cash Award ($287). The dates of the program are May 25 - August 2, 2017.  VISTA members must be 18 years of age. City of the Village Litter Blitz needs volunteers on Saturday, April 29th, 8:00 am.  Volunteers will gather at Westlake Hardware at Britton and Waverly, The goal is to clean Britton Rd from Waverly to May (the path of the OKC Marathon runners the next day, April 30th). Gloves, plastic bags, safety vests provided.  Volunteers will have to sign a release of liability.
