All Souls’ Episcopal Church builds a home in honor of longtime Habitat supporter Jim Easter, a deacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.
Easter was ordained in July of 1968 and has been on staff at All Souls’ Church in Nichols Hills for the past 10 years. “Deacon Easter is a respected counselor and preacher, and although he is 83-years young, in no way does he think of himself as retired,” said the Rev. Bright.
According to Ann Felton Gilliland, Chairman and CEO of Central Oklahoma Habitat, Easter is a tireless volunteer and supporter. “For more than 20 years, Jim has worked tirelessly to support our cause and volunteer in any way he can,” Felton Gilliland said. She added, “He has been giving at least two days a week of his time to help build homes for Oklahomans in need. He truly is a blessing to us.”“We are proud of the Central Oklahoma Habitat program and believe it to be one of the best avenues to provide others a helping hand into a new home and a more secure family life,” the Rev. Bright said. “We ask God’s continued blessing upon the family, the building of their home, and the ongoing work of Central Oklahoma Habitat.”
The home is located at Legacy States
